How to Rejet Your Carb The Quick Way
Before you begin you will want to make sure you remove as much dirt, grease and grime from the carb prior to removing it from the quad. Cleaning the carb now assures no particles will get inside during tear down or reassembly.
While you could rejet the carb without removing it, I advise against it as you will be somewhat restricted on space and you could drop something along the way. I prefer to use a workbench with a piece of a clear plastic over it.
Advance Timing 4 Degrees
Increasing the timing 4 degrees on your Yamaha Blaster is a relatively easy modification and should only take you roughly 30 minutes to do. It is a very common mod in the ATV scene and many say that it makes a noticeable difference.
Before you begin make sure you have the following tools:
- Flywheel puller
- Flywheel holder
- Torque wrench
- Dremel or similar rotary tool with grinding bit
