There are many places online to find Yamaha Blaster Parts. The easiest way to find them is to type in the name of the part needed in your favorite search engine. You are well on your way to finding the parts that you need for your quad. You can always find a better selection of parts and aftermarket performance accessories from online companies. They always feature more than your local ATV shop can, plus you get convenient delivery to your home.
On one specific online store, you can find parts for every Blaster made, from 1988 when they were first introduced all the way to the 2006 model, which was the last year that the quad was made. Any part meaning, from wrenches to brakes, to rims to bumpers, you name it, and you can get it. On a few sites, the shipping charge will be waived if the order totals a certain amount (on this site, it was for $99).
Let’s just say that what was needed was a rim (or wheel) for the 2006 Blaster. This site boasts eighteen different wheels available. The prices range from $39.99 to $116 in price for each rim needed. Any order over $99 would be free shipping, which could be quite a bit of savings, especially if you had to order more than one item at a time.
The site is also broken up into different categories of parts needed for the ATV: Bearings, Body, Brakes, Drive, Electrical, Engine, Exhaust, Filters, Frame are among the different categories listed for the parts needed for the 2006 Blaster. These are also advertised to come in within one to three days of ordering, which is pretty fast timing for ordering.
Another site that you might find parts for sale is on eBay. The upside to this site is that you might find a one in a million deal, however, the downside is that “let the buyer beware” is very much in play on this site.
On this other site (yamahapartshouse.com), for the transmission for a 2006 Blaster, it breaks down the transmission with a “blow apart” picture, and numbers the individual pieces of the transmission accordingly. Underneath the picture, is the corresponding numbers with the name of the part and the price of the part for individual pricing. Looking further, the same set up was used with each section of the quad, which makes finding specific parts very easy.
Another site (productools.com) gives the customer a way to download owner manuals and troubleshooting guides for specific information about the blaster. It also comes with a specific toolbar for these manuals as well. A wide range of add-ons are readily available from simple bolt on exhausts and suspension parts to complete aftermarket frames and larger displacement engines.
So finding the Yamaha Blaster parts is just a matter of a bit of time and research, and then choosing the dealer and prices that are most applicable for what is needed.
The Yamaha Blaster
The Yamaha Blaster is a 200cc air-cooled single cylinder two-stroke all-terrain vehicle produced as an entry-level machine manufactured in Japan and sold in the United States from 1988 to 2006. Because of the Blaster’s initial low price tag, it sold in large numbers for many years. Its two stroke engine is easily modified by enthusiasts and a large aftermarket now exists for the quad. A wide range of add-ons are readily available from simple bolt on exhausts and suspension parts to complete aftermarket frames and larger displacement engines.
The heavily finned, air-cooled Blaster engine has roots from a water cooled machine, as evidenced by the plugged water pump casting on the right side of the engine. The history of the engine in its water cooled form can be traced back to the Canadian market Dt200 and the Australian market WR200. Theoretically, it would be possible to use parts from either of these bikes and build an all-Yamaha water cooled Blaster engine, or to simply swap the engines since the engine mounts are nearly identical.
